I'm spending the 4th of July alone. When people ask me my plans I always make some elaborate story up and tell people that i'm celebrating the way that I imagine others do every year, tell them what food i'm making, tell them what family members are coming. The truth is I have no family. I have spent the last 17 years alone of the 4th of July because i don't want to be a burden anyone.
