There's some speculation as to what Stellantis is cooking up stateside for Dodge's new halo car. Supposedly the design has been premiered in private at HQ in Auburn Hills just in the last week. Some people think it may be a new Viper, whilst others are speculating it might come under a new badge with the "Copperhead" name. Also to note, Dodge has been trying to attain copyright on the term " 'Cuda " for a couple years as well, with a re-file again in January of this year. Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis, has allegedly dropped hints also that Dodge may drop a sub $30K RWD sports car as well sometime soon, and the rumor mill has taken this as a way of speculating it may be a "mini Viper" of sorts, ala Subaru BRZ/ Toyota AE86.
Ill leave the latest renderings from the community of the halo car, that has only been seen under a tarp by the general public so far.
IMO, a new halo car that they could take to Nurburgring to compete with Chevy's ZR1X would not only be great for the brand, but would realign the general feeling of enthusiasts about the brand in particular if they can pull it off correctly. Kind of exciting to think of a near future where Dodge has a halo car that becomes a thorn in the side of competitors on the track.
