The deputy director and chief medical officer of one of the most powerful and influential health systems in the world, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has resigned... after FOUR MONTHS at the agency. The reason? β€œto spend more time with my family.” Wow, she must *really* miss them. She also said β€œIt has been an amazing experience, and I will be forever grateful for it.” Imagine how amazing it would have been to have worked there, oh I don't know, for half of a whole year? Her family must be really, really lonely. It's interesting that she was the health commissioner of Texas previously and oversaw the state's response to a measles outbreak last year. With the explosion of measles cases in the US, you'd think the CDC could use some help in that area. Especially considering that measles was considered eradicated in the US until the anti-vax crowd got a hold of things. You can't make this stuff up. Unfortunately I wish I was.
