Today i will be discontinuing support for FrogsDen on mobile web. ACCESS TO FROGSDEN IS STILL AVAILABLE ON MOBILES VIA THE APPS.
What does this mean? - Essentially, you can use FrogsDen on mobile, however you will need to do this through the mobiles apps. (The platform will no longer be accesible on mobiles through Safari and Google Chome Mobiles browser)
Why am i doing this? - Not many users use their mobile web browser to access the site, However as its available i still have to spend time maintaining this, trying to bend FrogsDen to allow it to work on mobile browsers which are frankly terrible in most cases for a complex platform such as FrogsDen with a lot of moving pieces and can be extremely time consuming because of the amount of browsers available and quiet frankly, I want to focus on the experience for users for the app and standard Desktop browsers which give a better experience.
What happenes to users currently using mobile web browsers? - When they next load the site via their browser, they will be prompted and directed to their relevant App store where they can get the Free Mobile app to access FrogsDen.
What do I do if this will cause an issue for me? - Reach out to myself on a direct message. (I'm a good boy and will always do my best to help users when there is an issue if possible).
What do i do if i disagree with this move? - Then please comment and speak up, if enough people feel the same then I can review the options.
Hopefully this doesnt cause too much friction and that it provides a better experience for users longterm.
Ribbit.
