These are the mechanics right now. Every one of them came from a vote. Every one of them can be changed by a vote.

How your feed works

No suppression

Every post from people you follow appears in your feed. We never hide posts, throttle reach, or pick winners.

Organic spread

Every post goes straight to the feed of everyone who follows you. From there, likes push it to 10 new people who share your interests, and shares push it to 25. Real reach, not vanity metrics.

Quiet Fade

If you keep disliking posts from the same person, they gradually fade from your feed. No unfollowing, no notification, no confrontation. You stay in control.

Downvote vs Reach

Spread = (likes minus downvotes) times the multiplier. Net negative posts stop spreading further, but the post itself stays up. Votes have to come from a diverse pool, so a coordinated brigade can't sink a post on their own.

New user boost

Your first posts get shown to a larger pool of people who share your interests. You're visible from day one.

How voting works

Six stages, every one of them public. Any user can propose a change. If enough people back it, it goes to a vote. If it passes, we build it.

Propose
Write up a change. Title, summary, draft policy. Drop it in the Propose stream.

Qualify
If the idea resonates, it qualifies. Threshold is 250 net upvotes while the platform is small, rising to 500 as we grow.

Vote
Voting opens for a fixed window. Anonymous ballots. Live tally. Majority yes advances.

Review
Founder reviews for legal or technical impossibility only. Any veto ships with a public written reason, archived forever.

Build
Approved proposals get a public tracking issue in the open-source repo. Read the PR, leave comments, fork the code.

Live
Ships everywhere at once with a changelog entry. No quiet experiments on a subset of users.

Content policies

Not allowed

Illegal content, threats, harassment, sexual content involving minors, doxxing, or spam. We remove these on sight.

AI generated content

AI generated posts are not allowed. Original work only.

Adult content

Adult content must be tagged NSFW by the poster. Always blurred on the timeline until you tap to view.

Politics

Political content is unrestricted. Say what you think.

Tone

Offensive language is fine. Sustained abuse is not.

Misinformation

We don't remove misinformation. The community can label disputed posts with context instead, with a high threshold and diverse flaggers required.

Your privacy

Anonymous engagement

Engagement is anonymous to the public. Only the post author sees who liked or shared their post. Dislikes are fully anonymous, nobody ever sees who disliked. Public counts, private identities.

No social pressure in DMs

No read receipts. No typing indicators. No online status. You message when you want to.

Photo metadata stripped

EXIF and GPS data are removed from every image you upload, before it leaves your device's sight on our end.

Data export

Your data is yours. Export it from Settings whenever you want. ZIP delivery within 7 days.
